PUMAS GET NEW HEAD COACH GERRY QUEEN
As Bobby Lennon steps down to assistant coach…

The Pumas have kicked of there 2007 season under the expert guidance of a new coach Gerry Queen. Executive Director Bobby Lennon who has coached the Pumas the past six years is stepping down to assistant coach

Lennon said, "I have the utmost respect for Gerry on and off the field. I think his track record as a player and coach speaks for itself. I am proud to work under Gerry Queen in our program."

Gerry Queen, an ex professional soccer player and a veteran of the game has a resume unlike many of the coaches you see now. He has played for professional teams in Scotland, England and South Africa, most notable being Crystal Palace FC where he was the top scorer in the 1969/70 season with 11 goals. Queen has coached the Orlando Nighthawks of the USL Second Division and the Boca Raton Sabres. He also lead the Cocoa expos through ** winning seasons in which he hopes to guide the Pumas in the upcoming 2007 season.

Queen added, "I am excited to be back in the area and the opportunity to work with the Pumas. We have had some great games against each other in the past and developed strong ties. I cannot wait to get started."
